



A Time Tunnel exhibit tracing the 200-year history of Japanese manga will be set up, and picture scrolls will be put on display.
With cooperation from publishing houses and others, a tremendous volume and scale of manga works will be exhibited, from 1814’s Hokusai Manga to the major manga works representing each era.
Beyond just the core fan base of manga, efforts will also be undertaken to make the event one that can draw anyone into the world of manga, through initiatives like symbolic exhibitions that connect the history of Japanese manga to each era.
Will introduce the Japanism that first charmed Europe, such as Ukiyo-e, centering on Hokusai Manga. Visitors will experience the DNA of modern manga felt in these artistic expressions.
An overview of the first 150 years of history of the magazines that have been so important in the spread of the manga.
